Community Habilitation
Community Habilitation services provide training and support so you can take care of yourself as independently as possible and participate in things you care about. You work to develop and maintain skills that will help you enjoy the life you want.
You decide with your planning team what is most important to you and we’ll help you move forward. These become goals that your Community Habilitation staff help bring to life. Each time you receive the service, you work on at least one of the goals that are important to you.
Typical goals address your ability to live independently, for example:
- Learning to do laundry
- Meal prep and cooking
- Staying focused
- Exercising at the gym
- Having a two-way conversation
- Handling your money
- Personal hygiene
Community Habilitation also provides the chance to explore your community, make new friends, try new things, and get connected with people who share your interests.
